Team Samahang Taekwondo ng Pilipinas (STP) made the country proud after winning several medals in the 2026 Taiwan International Open Taekwondo Championships, a two-day international tournament held in Taiwan.
The Filipino jins displayed determination, discipline, and skill against strong foreign competition, earning medals in speed kicking, poomsae, wood breaking, and kyorugi events.
Day 1 Results
- Zacq Daniel E. Zaragoza – Bronze (Speed Kicking), Silver (Individual Poomsae)
- Marcus Ezekiel P. Tamayo – Gold (Speed Kicking), Silver (Individual Poomsae)
- Rico R. Kuan – Silver (Speed Kicking), Bronze (Individual Poomsae)
- Jiro Justin G. Bahod – Gold (Speed Kicking), Silver (Poomsae)
- Mije Ayesha B. Tero – Gold (Wood Breaking), Gold (Poomsae)
- Randall Zhane B. Montes – Gold (Wood Breaking), Bronze (Poomsae)
On the second and final day of the tournament, STP continued its strong showing in the Kyorugi (sparring) competition. The Brazen Team composed of Zacq Daniel E. Zaragoza, Jiro Justin G. Bahod, Mije Ayesha B. Tero, and Randall Zhane B. Montes captured the Bronze Medal in the event.
